Abstract:Laser equipped Storage Ring (LSR) with the circumference and radius of curvature of 22.197 m and 1.05 m, respectively is now under construction. The ring has six-fold symmetry and satisfies the so-called maintenance condition. Experimental approach to 3-D laser cooling for 24Mg+ is planned together with the studies of 1-D string by the electron beam cooling of highly charged ion beam.
